Dear World - my story

This was a photo taken at an event called Dear World that took place at my university. Probably one of the few photos I will ever have of myself not in cosplay, but that's beside the point. For the event each student or staff member wrote a certain phrase on their body that had a special meaning to them. I chose the phrase "Take off the mask, even if you're scared" because for years I also wore a mask, and it took a lot of effort and support to finally take it off. While not everyone wears a mask, to those who do, you deserve to have someone who can see you for who you truly are and who appreciates you for it. It may not happen right away, but you will find those people.
